Just in time to celebrate the most wonderful time of the year, you can win something amazing to get you in the spirit of the season.
It’s no secret, I LOVE Christmas – all things Christmas actually. And what better way to celebrate the season of joy and all things jolly than by giving away one of my favourite things – toys!
While we (and by “we”, I mean my entire family) love everything from Mattel®, we thought we’d share our love on just three of their hottest 2019 finds:
What we thought: What kid (and adult) doesn’t love receiving mystery packs? Enter Crystal Creatures TM. It’s a mystical creature that you build. It comes in a crystal-shaped dome but first, you are bombarded with every piece of item buried in the coolest slime/goo ever – makes for a very intrigued child. Putting these characters together was definitely fun and the best part, the parts are interchangeable so you can create different ones every single time.

So last night Amra received the press drop of her dreams – a box filled with #CrystalCreaturesSA from @mattel and @brandalleypr. Neither myself or @zunaidarnold could resist partaking in opening it and getting slime over everything. Amra and I teamed up against him to see who could put our creatures together. Definitely can’t wait to have more fun with this… #samomblogger #remarriedmominthecity #mommyblogger
What we thought: Considered a classic, and as a word nerd, I was over the moon when I saw that Scrabble® got a makeover. And its beautiful elegant design makes for some truly serious fun-tertainment (see what I did there). In true Scrabble® fashion, the game includes an elegant board, pouch for the letters and the finishing of the letters seems to be streamlined in a more modern look – making it still as durable so you know it’s a game that will last for years to come without losing its paint. As a mom with kids, especially a daughter who loves to read, I think it’s a great way to test her language skills and vocabulary.

Originally called Criss Cross, the game, which was based on the crossword puzzle and anagrams, was developed by Alfred M. Butts, an architect, in 1931. It was redesigned, renamed as Scrabble, and marketed by James Brunot in 1948. It was first sold in Great Britain in 1954. @mattel has given @scrabble a new look and I’m very excited that it’s just in time for the school holidays and Christmas. #FamilyTimeWithScrabble #remarriedmominthecity #samommyblogger #mommyblogger #sponsored
Anyone ever heard of Enchantimals TM? I didn’t. What are they you wonder? Enchantimals TM are the exciting new range of whimsical characters and animal besties from Mattel®. The Enchantimals™ dolls are a group of lovable characters (who happen to be half animal) who have a special bond with their animal best friends. Each character and animal friend use their special abilities to ensure that there is balance and harmony amongst all living things. I think there’s something really fun about them but because they are so new on the market in South Africa, it’s something that everyone will need to get used too – and once they do, they will LOVE it. And who doesn’t love toys where you need to collect all of the characters.
