The circles we keep…

People often ask me how I maintain the calm aura. Simple! Surround yourself with positive amazing and very crazy people; whether it’s at work or at play. Amra and I are just so fortunate enough to be surrounded by some pretty amazing people.

At work

I work in an industry that focuses on my two favourite loves: fashion and online. While I do work with a ton of awesome people, these two crazies were game enough for a selfie.

Meet social media extraordinaire Lauren and fashion blog princess Anja (read her blog and see why we love her).

Last week we said a sad farewell to songstress and now former Jet editor, Linda Mali who is moving on to another cool publication. Linda and I met at a dinner event a very long time ago and working with her has been such an honour. No one quite gets “single independent woman” quite like her. Will miss all the guy chats we used to have but she is as fierce as she is amazing and I know she’ll shine as bright as a diamond. The cool chick at the back is Nicky Cosgreave aka Her Royal Highness. When the other office lovelies aren’t as shy, i’ll be sure to sneak in more pics of them.

At home

Amra and I are fortunate enough to have two amazing men in our lives. Meet my brothers Umar and Imaad. Loved and protected, we couldn’t be happier.

This weekend we were fortunate to have a family wedding. Along with the questions of when I planned to tie the knot again, yes, that question has been coming up a lot lately, i managed to capture some family moments. But seriously, how often are single people meant to be plagued by the “When are you getting married?” question? Is that really so important? Is being single and independent not important? As a wise lady once told me “the fish they keep talking about, what ocean are they swimming in differently compared to me?

But no girl is complete without her close friends…

And my proud mamma moment of the weekend, Amra conquering stilettos and strutting her stuff at home…

Go Amra!!!
